Introducing the “My Old Fashioned, My Way.” Old Fashioned Experience!
The 1800s was the Golden Age of bourbon whiskey AND the launching point of cocktails. Professor Jerry Thomas published what is considered one of the first books on cocktails in 1862, and you’ll use his guidance to help create your own perfect Old Fashioned.
- Learn history about the Old Fashioned Cocktail, Bitters, & all about Willow Run.
- Determine your sweetness and bitterness levels & garnish choice
- Then, create your own full-size Old Fashioned
*It’s highly recommended that you do our Custom Bourbon Blending Experience before doing the “My Old Fashioned, My Way” Old Fashioned Cocktail Experience, but it is not necessary. You can create your own custom bourbon blend the fast way by clicking here (please keep that QR/recipe and bring it with you to this “My Old Fashioned, My Way” Experience).
If you’ve already created your Custom Bourbon, please bring that recipe. If you do not know your recipe and you purchased on our website, you can get it by clicking here. If that option does not yield results, please email us at info@willowrunbourbon.com or come early to the Experience with your bottle name.

The Non-Bourbon Drinker option includes 2 drink tickets good for cocktails, mocktails, beer, or unlimited soda. (1 half-bottle of wine = 2 tickets).
The Premium options includes a mini charcuterie board and some of our bourbon pecans.
VIP Experience- Great for a guest in your party that may be celebrating a birthday or other special day!
The VIP Experience includes the standard adult experience, plus all of the following:
- VIP recognition in the experience
- Mini Charcuterie Board (like the Premium option)
- A half bottle of sparkling wine to share with your group
- One each of our full size bags of bourbon popcorn varieties to take home
- A Willow Run Merch Pack (that includes the 1862 Jerry Thomas cocktail book, a funny bourbon sign, a koozie, and a sticker!)
- A more customized logo, if you purchase a custom bottle after the experience (we are limited to black & white, etc., but will work with you the best we can)
- Optional- If you ask, we’ll take your picture and post it on our social media calling you out as a Willow Run VIP!
Looking for a private party? Please book 18 people (the entire room) for your time desired. Reach out to info@willowrunbourbon.com if you need additional time in the room (beyond 90 minutes- the experience will take about 60 minutes of that time, but your group is also welcome to continue to socialize in our bar area. Please also reach out if you need any additional accommodations (catering partner connections, etc.).
Well-behaved children are allowed in our experience room, but if they require a chair, a non-bourbon drinking option ticket would need to be purchased (we have great mocktails, soda, or can even swap out drink tickets for a bag of popcorn or a mini charcuterie board).
ADA- Please call in advance if someone in your party is not able to go up stairs (one of our rooms is upstairs).

EXPERIENCE DETAILS
To begin your bourbon journey, choose your date and number of participants. Once your reservation is booked, we will send a reservation confirmation and additional information about the experience.
Upon arriving at our downtown Cincinnati location (please give time to secure parking in one of the many local garages and lots), guests will be welcomed by our host and taken to their table. After a short welcome introduction, the presentation by a member of our team will begin.
RESERVATION DETAILS Your reservation includes the following:
- The "My Old Fashioned, My Way" Cocktail Experience
- An Interactive Live Presentation by a Willow Run Team Member
- After you go through the experience, you have the option to buy your Custom Bourbon (made and ready before you leave) and supplies you may want to get in order to create your own perfect Old Fashioned Cocktail at home

- Experiences begin promptly at their scheduled time
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time
- Willow Run reserves the right to limit or halt alcohol consumption by guests for any reason and at any time
- No refunds are offered, but you may reschedule to a future date
- To reschedule, you must do this prior to the experience beginning by calling us during normal business hours or emailing info@willowrunbourbon.com.
